BIOGRAPHYHailing from Ishgard, Silvaire came from a lesser noble family, House Rontremont, that is pledged to House Dzemael. Rather than becoming a knight, his father had high hopes that his son would become an architect like others in Dzemael. No expense was spared on tutors, though Silvaire had little interest in his studies. He wasn't a stupid child by any means, but he simply had other plans for his life. However, he complied with his father's wishes and pursued the occupation.Being an architect did allow him to witness the state of places like the Brume. Seeing how other Ishgardian citizens fared stirred something in Silvaire. In his teenage years, he became outspoken in his opinions, which were that the noble houses—both high and low—needed to do more and give back to society. It didn't take him long to set his sights on the Orthodox Church, accusing them of being self-serving and lazy in their efforts as well. Though his language against the nobility was tolerated and overlooked—others called him a delusional product from House Rontremont—, his opinions on the church were not accepted.He was "politely" asked to either practice silence and master it, join the church as a means of reformation, or leave Ishgard entirely. Not wanting to comply with the other options, Silvaire packed his belongings.

Before leaving his home, his father gave him a stern and very serious warning to never return or attempt to contact House Rontremont. Silvaire agreed and headed to Eorzea to make some sense of his new life.Once there, he made Limsa Lominsa his home and joined the Adventurer's Guild in an attempt to help others as he had not been able to in Ishgard. However, his tasks proved menial, and his time as an adventurer did not last long.As an adult, he moved to Ul'dah and offered his services as a retainer.
